Reviews - Java House
Reviews summary
Tucked in Cedarburg, this cozy, plant-filled café is prized for imaginative drinks — from frappes and rose lattes to seasonal apple ciders — friendly staff, and a rewards program. The historic, inviting interior and pleasant outdoor seating make it great for working or casual meetups, with a convenient walk-up window. Visitors praise customization and baked goods, but should expect occasional slow service, busy mornings, cramped space, inconsistent food portions, and some weak or lukewarm brewed coffee.

Great coffee house in such a quaint vintage village Interior did not disappoint with it's rustic, age old wood work throughout. Decorated eclectically and warmly, giving off a very welcoming vibe.Baristas were quick and efficient and above all the single pump mocha was divine! Just what was needed on a slightly snowy day. Thanks! View all feedback.
What Sirena Heu dislikes about Java House:
This place is fantastic for a wide selection of drinks, but I've been disappointed with the food. The wait times can be quite long, especially in the mornings, when the café gets really busy. The number of people waiting for food makes the small space feel even more cramped. I stopped by before work at around 6:35 am to get a coffee. The barista was incredibly friendly and recommended an iced rose latte. It was fantastic! Thank you so much—I can't wait to try another drink!
It was a fantastic place to enter, with incredibly friendly staff and a lovely ambiance that I really enjoyed.
The Caramel Latte I had with the Caramel Sauce was very good. Not knowing which coffee shop to choose from in Cedarburg, I chose Java House, and I was pleasantly surprised. Good espresso flavor and not too weak like many coffee shops.

This is the coolest little coffee shop, would highly recommend choosing this one if you are in between all of the wonderful options that Cedarburg is home too! They have such excellent drinks of all kinds, something for every one! Plus they have super unique drinks and food options for anyone looking to try something different! My favorite is their apple ciders, that they have a wide range of flavors and options to choose from. The vibes are excellent and the inside is one of the coolest places you will see!! Highly, highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Great for all people! Dietary restrictions: Great options for people with all types of food needs. Parking: As with everywhere in the area parking can be a bit tricky to come by, but grab a spot anywhere and enjoy the short walk down the Java house! Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids, not super roomy so as long as they are good to sit they will LOVE to see all of the fun decorations.
