This coffee shop is absolutely charming. While the menu isn't very extensive, the food they offer is incredible. They serve fresh fruits and excellent coffee. What User doesn't like about The Early Bird:
The coffee was okay (my cappuccino was more of a flat white that just had a little foam spread across the top) and the woman at the register was straight-up rude. Maybe she was just having a bad day, having worked at my share of coffee shops I get that, but there was just no sign of effort towards being polite and/or friendly. I didn’t feel remotely welcome. The facilities are very nice, though. View all feedback.

This charming little coffee shop features a friendly staff and a simple yet delicious menu. It's one of my favorite places for lunch in downtown!

This coffee shop was so sweet. The menu was not very extensive, but what they had for food was amazing. They have fresh fruits and great coffee. There are local art for sale and the vibe is super sweet and clean and chilled. I would recommend this place every morning enough! I can't always come because it comes early, but hey, it's the early bird that gets the worm
We visited Cedar Rapids twice during a two-day visit. This was a nice meeting in an old building in downtown converted into an open space. It still had the really old roller doors on the brick walls. We enjoyed coffee, tea and a simple lunch with good customer service. They don't have a wide range of foods, but they shouldn't. Overall we enjoyed the coffee and comfortable place to sit, visit and enjoy. I'll be back to Early Bird at future visits to the city.
