Great food. Horrible service. The whole environment was very lackadaisical. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing. It was as if there was absolutely no management around, so nobody was motivated to give good service. We waited unbelievably long tobe seated (it was 9 pm on a Monday night and was NOT the least bit busy). When they finally acknowledged us waiting, they verynonchalantly went to clean a table for us (there were lots of dirty tables waiting to be bussed). They removed the dirty dishes, and then chatted with some co-workers, then washed the table, then chatted with some co-workers again, then eventually andfinally seated us, at a soaking wet table. When we asked for a towel to dry the table ourselves, they very slowly came over withpaper napkins and ran their hands over about 1/3 of the table. It was very much a Twilight Zone moment. I 've truly never seensuch a do not care , everyone walking around half asleep overall environment. We love Cotton Patch, but not this particularone (our first time at this location).
Stopped in for lunch, great as always. Had Strawberry Pecan salad. Guest had Chicken Fried Brisket. He said leave that deep fried food to the County Fair ????!
Wanted to get that last meal before leaving town and decide on cotton patch with my mom. She?s a big fan but I?ve only been once in the past, but based off the meal I had, I would definitely return. We both ordered the same thing getting the fried catfishand shrimp combo. This came with two sides and roll or cornbread. We both opted for the rolls. besides I chose green beans andcorn. The fish was perfectly cooked and I only got one small piece of bone across all the fillets. The shrimp were alsodelicious and I got those with cocktail sauce. Overall this was one of the best meals I?ve had from a chain restaurant in termsof catfish, especially for the price!
Not the “go to” place it used to be. A/C not working and people were fanning with their menus. You have to wait a long time to be seated. All but 2 male wait staff moved at a snail’s pace. Manager was primarily our waiter as our real waitress seemed lost and didn’t do anything we asked. Drink refills were nonexistent unless you reached out to whoever was nearby. Guess we were lucky. We watched people at a nearby table leave when they never received drinks (we heard them remind the waitress). Caesar salad had no dressing on it. Can you say lettuce? Food was mediocre at best and became cold by the time we received everything we ordered. This Cotton Patch has definitely fallen below standard.
Do not bother visiting this restaurant - the food portions are small and it has a bad smell. I ordered a chicken fried chicken and both a worker and the manager (who was bald) questioned if I had ordered a junior meal, which implied they knew the portion was small. When I requested a different meal, the manager became rude and insisted on giving me the same thing. Eventually, he admitted they were out of sides and had thrown away my original meal with the sides. I ended up getting a refund. For better value and customer service, I recommend going to the Arlington location.
