Despite the negative reviews I read online, my experience at this restaurant was actually great. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Although my friend's steak was overcooked, the staff replaced it promptly. The beer was poured properly, with no excessive foam. Overall, it was a good dining experience. What Blake Meekins doesn't like about D's Wings:
The service was good and I enjoyed the new building, however, I must admit that the food was disappointing. The boneless wings were small, all fried items tasted burnt, and the onion rings were soggy. This used to be my favorite spot for wings, but I suspect there may be new management or the new location is affecting the quality. I suggest looking elsewhere for satisfying your car food cravings. Ordered a bucket of oysters. Asked for raw. Waitress said I think they steam them. We said we want them raw. She laughed. They came steamed. I was in Columbia yesterday for business and decided to pick up wings for the drive back home. I read online that D’S Wings on Meeting Street was rated as Best wings in the State namely the Citrus Kick Wings.. Uh that’s a big fat no they are not. Wings were plain with not a sprinkle of salt or any other seasoning. They seemed to be either pre boiled and then flash fried or they were poor quality. The skin was still wet on many of them and only a smidgette of sauce was on the bottom of the carry out box but none on the wings. My order of 9 and fries were $16
