The Cavendish Arms

Had the amazing Sunday roast. I had the beef and my companion had the lamb. The meats were moist and moreish and the vegetables were all well cooked with beautiful gravy. Really enjoyed the meal and would definitely return to Sunday dinner.

Delicious meal with good service. We had the mushroom and octopus started both excellent and then steak and spiced lamb again excellent. Very recommended.

The cook gave us very kindly the ingredients of his or her delicious salsa that accompanied or seafood linguini. Delicious dolls.

Beautiful inn, two very hard-working girls served, but they could definitely have been done with a third. Food was nice, but nothing spectacular and personally I thought it was overpriced. They had a nice wine menu and the selection of the dressed beers/chidder unfortunately the wine I wanted, and both frightened apple wines that my husband was not available. I would give it 3.5 stars, but rounded to 4.

My husband and I eat out relatively regularly and both firmly agree that this is one of the best meals we have had in a long time! The food was absolutely fantastic, we enjoyed everything we had. The wine list was also very good and we had a very good bottle of reasonably priced wine. Nice ambiance and good service. Overall would highly recommend.
