This is the best pub in town. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are great, and there is a good selection of drinks. The bar is visually stunning and the food is delicious. The staff provide unbelievable service. I highly recommend this place. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Imperial:
I can't quite put my finger on it, but although the beer was good and the service was attentive, there was something missing. The restaurant was clean and I felt like if it were a busier weekend night, the experience may have been different in a negative way. Unfortunately, I noticed a serious lack of mask wearing among the staff at times and was not asked for my vaccine certificate. View all feedback.
Visited the Duck Inn restaurant in the Imperial for lunch a few times. Staff are always really attentive and customer focused. Menu changes regularly with weekly specials. Had the Sea Bass on risotto recently, and it was 10/10.
Fabulous in every way. I can’t rate this premises highly enough. The staff are so friendly, competent and capable which obviously reflects on the owners. The food is amazing. This evening we had the ‘special’ plaice stuffed with sun dried tomato and spinach with muscles, exceptional!
Visited on July 1st, As you enter the establishment the atmosphere is warm and very friendly, the furnishings are top notch ,similar too a 5 star hotel. Excellent dinner menu with a great selection of dishes too cater for every taste including(vegans). Highly recommended the brownie and baked alaska for dessert As a chef I was trying my best too find something to complain about but I fell short. Special mention too Catriona the lady running the establishment, Excellent and treats the customer like their members of her family. Definitely be back in the very near future Thank you.
A massive Thank you to all the Staff at The Imperial Restaurant. A recent gathering of Family and Friends for Dinner and Drinks was Simply Exceptional. The Food was Excellent and Accompanied by a Service that any 5 Star Establishment would be very Proud of. Cocktails were one of many Highlights, Mixologist of Gold Standard. Thanks again for a Great Memory and look forward to Many more.
Travelled some distance for a meal here. Never been to Cavan town before. As I went in the back door and into the restaurant I realised I forgot something in the car. I turned around to walk back out the way I came in and the owner Donal barked at me ‘Where are you going?’ His tone was aggressive so I said out to the car. Again with an aggressive tone- ‘Where are you going? The back door is closed’ I said it’s not- I walked in that way and went on out. Donal was very rude. Spoke to me with no respect. Had my meal there and it was fantastic. Good excellent and other staff great. I feel sorry for the staff having to work with Donal. As we were leaving I noticed his car was parked in a yellow box too. Donal- have a bit of manners when speaking to people and park your car correctly,
