The scallops were delicious, the outlook beautiful (and tranquil) and the madame really lovely. It was nice to see goldfish in such a huge tank, too (and it was clean). The lights over the bathroom hand basins weren't working, but the toilets were clean. View all feedback.
What Lucas Gilles doesn't like about Le Beau Rivage:
The location is great, just near the lake for a beautiful view on a clear day. However, we found the food overpriced for the quality. The interior of the restaurant is very dated, especially the toilet area; the entire restaurant could use a big upgrade. Service was decent. View all feedback.

Stopped there for lunch. We had a table on the terrace. Personnel very friendly without being pushy. Children and toddlers very welcome with a variety of games to keep them busy. We had a set menu including starter, main meal, dessert and coffee for 14 euros per person. The dishes were very well presented and exquisitely prepared. We enjoyed every bit of it. Highly recommended.
Lovely meal with family, we shared the starters… all very tasty, fabulous Bisque with langoustines and poached egg. Sauce with the escargot was unexpected but very, very tasty… Great choice of main courses, unbelievable value for the wine. Great spot with views of the lake through the bay windows . Decor is a bit outdated but that’s part of the charm of the place.

We went to see the empty lac de guerledan and after walking 5 hours we needed something to eat, and we found this restaurant, and sat down, not seeing the menu, we got given the chefs taster before ordering and being given the menu, and asked what we wanted for drink without seeing the menu first, after having eaten the chefs special and ordering our drinks we were given the menu, and we noticed, the things on the menu we disnt really like and there wasnt very much variety, and when we got our food they tried doing a michelin star style plate yet it was too little for the large amount we were paying for our meal, and all we were getting was a slice of carrot and a slab of dry salmon with even drier cod inside it, to be honest it want very pleasant, i dont think we will be coming back for more, and certainly not worth the price you are paying for...
