I do not like pastries for breakfast so we come here for an... read more My husband and I have been coming to Alberto's bar for several years on our annual trip to Asturias. I do not like pastries for breakfast so we come here for an excellent café con leche and an assortment of bocadillos (sandwiches). I particularly like the bocadillo de lomo (pork) or the tortilla sandwich. The owner is soft-spoken and conscientious and the bar is always full of locals in the morning. This time we decided to try the restaurant for lunch. It was one of the best meals I have had on this 2 week trip to Spain. I started with a chicken pasta soup then a mixture of vegetables and potatoes in a stew (without meat) and meat with fries for the main course. Everything was delicious, the first two dishes served in a tureen so that we could help ourselves to seconds. It is good wholesome food especially coming into the colder season. I would definitely recommend.
