Reviews - Pomodoro's
Reviews summary
Pomodoro’s offers generally good Italian fare with standout dishes like their acclaimed meatballs and satisfying salads, pleasing both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, complemented by friendly, attentive staff. While prices are fair, some diners feel certain items, like the meat lovers pizza, could benefit from more toppings. Service is mostly commendable, though occasional lapses and communication issues have been noted. Despite minor inconsistencies, many patrons return for the fresh, quality food and welcoming environment, making Pomodoro’s a reliable choice for casual dining in the Catskill area.

Everyone is very friendly, the food is good. I always have leftovers to bring home. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cheesey Garlic Bread, Cream of Broccoli, Cheese Pizza, Chicken Parmesan, French Onion Soup
Ordered the chicken alfredo with crispy chicken and fettuccine, chicken was perfectly crisped and thoroughly cooked, fettuccine was al-dente and the alfredo sauce was the perfect thickness and cheesiness to tie it all together. Only downside was waiting 45 mins instead of the 15 I was told. But overall, food is honestly good and the counter girls were nice and friendly, they just get busy and backed up a lot. Absolutely worth chasing it with lactaid.
My wife decided to give pomordoros another try .We order the harvester wrap and panini sandwich . The French fries were mush and both items were cold . The harvester wrap is supposed to come with a side of gravy but had ranch dressing instead . Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

This restaurant is usually one of our favorites, and we've visited about 20 times. However, this last experience was disappointing. We had a long wait at our table before placing our order, and the food was not up to the standard we’ve come to expect. Dinner was very bland. Although we ordered drinks, the staff rarely checked in on us. We felt that we were charged premium prices for a subpar experience. Normally, we have had positive experiences here, so we plan to give it another try. 12.3.22
I don't consume meat or much dairy, but I found Pomodoro's spring mix salad with bleu cheese, dried cranberries, and balsamic dressing to be delicious, satisfying, and reasonably priced. The service was excellent as well.
Went there tonight around 5:30, alone with my dog. Both outside tables were empty. A number of inside tables also empty. Went in, asked if I could sit with my dog outside. Sure. Then..., Oh, but would you want a waitress? Huh? Um, yeah I guess. After a bit of a wait while the hostess went off to check during which two groups were seated inside she came back to tellme You can order take out then sit outside. What the heck? No service? No, we 're just too busy. I mean, that 's justtotally bizarre. A restaurant with a number of empty tables, seating walk ins, that 's too busy to serve a customer. I dunno,I promise I shower at least once a month whether I need it or not, and I actually got a haircut the other day. I 'm a nice guy.Why such weird treatment? Not sure I 'll go back.
Our main courses were slightly better, but not by much. My wife ordered the penne alla vodka, which resembled a basic tomato sauce with cream and a sprinkle of prosciutto on top; it was bland, with only occasional bursts of saltiness. I had the chicken Parmesan, which was smothered in a terrible sauce—so much so that I had to scrape off the excess just to taste the chicken. The chicken itself seemed like it might have been frozen, though I can't confirm that since I wasn't in the kitchen. The breading was also disappointing. The only highlight of the meal was the dessert, which was surprisingly good and the reason I’m giving the restaurant 2 stars. Our waitress was friendly, though she was a bit forgetful at times.

I ordered their rice balls and specifically requested mozzarella on top with sauce. However, what I received looked nothing like what I had ordered. The quality of the food has declined; I mentioned this previously but decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back again!
The experience largely depends on the waitress you happen to have; some are quite slow and tend to neglect their tables, while others are exceptionally attentive and responsive.

My dining experience was fantastic, but what really stood out was the excellent service I received from my waitress, Kayla. She was incredibly polite, took my order quickly, and the food arrived right on schedule. She also made sure to check in on me regularly. Kayla is a fantastic asset to the staff!
Whenever we visit the Catskill area, Pomodoros is a must-stop for us! During this trip, we dined there twice! While the wait for your order may be a bit longer, it's worth it because everything is made fresh and the quality is outstanding! The highlight of the menu is definitely the meatballs. You absolutely have to try them with your meal!
The food was quite enjoyable. However, I felt that the $28 meat lover pizza could have used a bit more topping. Nevertheless, everyone seemed pleased with their choices. The service and atmosphere were both excellent.
We were on our way from a trip upstate and were looking for something better than rest stop fast food. Randomly finding this restaurant turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. Food and service were excellent.

Got take out. Calzone just thrown in a bag on a paper plate. Grease all over the bag which got on my fabric car seat. Dough wasn't cooked enough, ricotta cheese was clumped in only one part of the Calzone and I got no side of sauce. Totally disappointed and disgusted.
The food was pretty good. There should of been some more toppings on a 28$ meat lovers pizza. But everyone liked what they did get. The service, and atmosphere was very good ? ?.
This restaurant has typically been one of our favorites, and we've eaten here around 20 times. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was disappointing. We had to wait a long time for a table before we could even place our order, and the food we received was not up to our usual expectations. Dinner was quite bland and lacked the vibrant flavors we usually enjoy. Although we ordered drinks, the staff rarely checked on us. We also noticed that the prices have increased. Our past experiences here have been positive, so we’re willing to give it another chance in the future. Date of visit: December 3, 2022.
