A sweet place with delicious food and wine. Not for a low budget, but if you do it once, it’s okay :
Delicious food that went beyond just traditional Italian fare. The meat dishes were cooked to perfection and cleverly match with vegetables. Highly recommended
We went to Zabbara for a dinner. The food was delicious, and the service was great. The menu was in italian but we got all explained, and every dish described in detail. We got a welcome glass of prosecco. We ordered a set of traditional antipasti great composition of vegetables. Then we got a pizza with truffle oil and one with anchovis. Have to say this was the best pizza we had for a very long time. In the middle we were full but the waiter was kind to offer to pack us the rest. When we heard of desserts we couldn't refuse. We took chocolate fondant on ricotta cheese and pistachio cake delicious. This was a feast.
The menu was unexpected, it was an expensive New Year Menu. Despite correspondence through email and text message, the restaurant failed to mention this. The ravioli and gnocchi were really good. However, the Cod just tasted like someone had just poured batter and table salt all over the kitchen. The flesh was thin and the batter was dripping with grease. My partner had the black pig. The meat was chewy, tasteless and unseasoned. She basically was reduced to eating mash for her main dish.
Very nice place, clean and spacious. Menu only in Italian but the owner explained everything. Food delicious! I've had probably the best octopus ever : and as I'm not a big fan of puree, I must say the one served in Zabbara was very good (gonna try to copy this at home . Tuna with grilled veggies was also very nice. Trully recommend!!!
