I always tell my husband to.take me here. Their food is amazing the only place to serve me puffy tacos the way I like ???? I have tried other dishes but my go to is #32 chicken. Must try!!! We take it to go and have a movie night in then I can easily put the rest in the fridge for lunch the next day. View all feedback.
What Chad Belcher doesn't like about El Portal De Jalisco:
The place was very packed and the service was kind of rude. Food came out amazingly fast and was pretty good . The chorizo had a very good flavor and the tortillas were very soft. Parking is a little hectic but that's because it was packed. The wait wasn't long because they are very fast. 3 stars because of the rude employees View all feedback.

This is my go to place for great Mexican and fantastic service. Pete is an amazing guy and he really knows how to make every visit the perfect visit. I don't think I've actually had to say my order in months, he always remembers. The food is made really good and it's a lovely, cozy atmosphere.
Tried the new place across Hwy90. Had plate #31. Other than the rice it was absolutely rancid! I know that because we live in a democracy and it?s our values and who we are and because of Covid and the war and inflation and 9 million other reasons, we have to reduce our expectations to the lowest possible level. But man, that was even worse than that. I won?t go back.
Do not get any of their tacos unless you're prepared to have an absolutely burnt tortilla that's hard. Tried their bean and cheese tacos three times to give them another chance but it always ends up burnt. Enchiladas could be way better, the saving grace was the beans and the rice that came with them. Nachos are actually really good, basically don't get anything with a tortilla.
