The Ice House offers a mixed dining experience, balancing warm service with inconsistent food quality. Diners have reported issues such as incorrect pricing, missing ingredients, and overcooked dishes, leading to disappointment. While some enjoyed well-prepared items like shrimp cocktails and cheesecake, others found the offerings comparable to overpriced frozen fare. However, the lively atmosphere enhanced by live music has garnered praise, making it suitable for gatherings. While certain dishes underwhelmed, there are indications of potential, inviting guests to give it another shot. For those seeking a vibrant spot, it may warrant a second visit despite its flaws.

Was Ryley Schroeder at Ice House Snack a mag?
I really want to like the Ice House. I remember when Jack started it and I believe he is part of the ownership. We definitely need a high-quality restaurant for both locals and vacationers. However, I was not impressed with my first visit. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi and the Marsala Chicken. The shrimp, pasta, and veggies were cooked beautifully, but the marsala sauce lacked flavor and was too thin. The chicken bre... View all feedback.

What Edna Greenfelder dislikes about Ice House Snack:
Very overpriced “freezer food”. The French fries are the frozen kind (which were barely warm”, as well as the mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. The fried haddock sandwich was OK but didn’t seem cooked all of the way. Best part of the meal was the bun the sandwich was served on. Will not be going back. View all feedback.

Excellent service from my server matt. management polite and helpful. the host gave options to sit near music, on the bar, or in a quiet section. the food was fantastic and the chocolate lava cake for the desert was so good. very chocolate. I visited in winter and it is a bit cool in the building so wear a jacket.

From the time we came to the restaurant, we started to smile. we were a party of 10 that became a party of 14! they have treated it with ease. with live music and great food and drink it made a birthday party safe and fun. 12/3/21.

However, I was not impressed with my first visit. We ordered the Shrimp Scampi and the Marsala Chicken. The shrimp, pasta, and veggies were cooked beautifully, but the marsala sauce lacked flavor and was too thin. The chicken breast was unevenly cooked and attached to bones, not the uniform paillard that I expected. It could have just been an off night, but it seems like they need to improve their kitchen staff. The service was okay, and despite this disappointing experience, I plan on giving them another chance as I would like to try the clams next time.PJ

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I called in an order to go and specifically requested to order from the snack bar menu. However, I was charged the higher restaurant prices instead. I ended up paying over $20 more for less food than I expected. The sandwiches were missing the mushrooms they were supposed to have, and the orders of onion rings were much smaller than those from the snack bar. Additionally, the sour cream for the quesadilla turned out to be horseradish, which was extremely unpleasant. When I called to inquire about the discrepancy, I was essentially told that it was too bad. It was explained to me that because we ordered a quesadilla from the snack bar menu, everything had to be charged at restaurant prices. My advice would be to avoid calling in an order at this establishment.
