Feedback
Despite mixed reviews, this valley restaurant is known for creative, fresh, and well-crafted dishes. It offers great service, value, and unbelievable food, with some mentioning the exceptional quality and flavour. With a good selection of menu items and pleasant service, customers appreciate the effort to maintain safety. However, some have faced challenges with noisy environments, long wait times, and menu shortages due to staffing issues. Despite these setbacks, the restaurant stands out for its delicious food, best steaks, and cheesecake. It closes after the golf season, but loyal patrons aim to visit before then.
We were a party of four and my 3 dining companions were, I think, pretty happy with their choices. It would be nice to have a couple of vegan options on the menu, As it was, I chose the beet and goat cheese salad without the goat cheese. The salad was delicious but with just a little too much dressing on there. It would be nice to see maybe a veggie burger on the menu that could be veganized or a nice vegan pasta dish, rather than being limited to salad. The service was perfect.
I ate at The Nineteenth before a round of golf in May. We had a table of 8 and we sat on the deck overlooking the 13th green. The food took a little longer than I would have liked and we were rushed to tee off in time. The food was ok... but nothing stood out as being remarkable. The service, on the other hand, was really good. The server acknowledged that the food was taking a long time and did her best to keep us informed and to keep our drinks full while we waited.
This is probably the best restaurant in Castlegar when you want a decent meal out run by experienced restauranteurs. Went with a girlfriend for drinks and food. Both of us had lovely salads and shared pulled pork spring rolls (yum!) and shared the mini doughnuts for dessert (double yum!!). The view of the golf course and the mountains is nice too!
Got served drinks then was avoided for 15mins by our server who never came back for our food order . So if your not golfing and drinking dont bother youll be neglected. We straight up left pathetic service. Might be good food but ill never know Update noone from our party was on the bathroom this shows you have no idea what your even talking about and are trying to cover for your server that we were abandoned. By our server we told your staff while leaving that so ask your staff
