Not the best but probably the best yum cha in The Hills. Located in Castle Hill RSL. Yum cha is quite good but wish they have more variety. The dinner is nice if you know what to order. What User doesn't like about Jin Yan:
Ordered squid with pepper/salt which is too much battered and heavy. And also, we had lemon chicken. Again, to much batter and oily. Looked disgusting. Ate only one piece. Worst food ever I had in a restaurant and it is pricey as well.We ne er go there again. View all feedback.

Our first and only visit to Jin Yan. Service was okay. Didn't have to wait long for food. The food, however, was bland. The only restaurant worthy dish was lamb pancakes which were constructed by the waiter at our table. The steamed dim sim basket, roast duck with five spice, sizzling prawns, steamed vegetables and beef satay were all basically tasteless. The worst Chinese food we have ever eaten.

The food is great, the portion size is ok, however the air con does make the food go cold very quickly and a little on the pricey side.... but without doubt the best Chinese in the hills.
Had dinner here last night had low expectations given that it's an RSL, but was pleasantly suprised. Ordered several dishes and shared amongst a group. All dishes were good. My only complaint is that the Hong Kong staff are rude.
