We actually stopped by Le Casette to sample their lambrausco and aceto balsamico. Excellent, family-run and extremely friendly. While most places were closed on Sunday, the owner was very welcoming. View all feedback.
What Carlo Rossi doesn't like about Agriturismo Le Casette:
I disagree with farms, but this time I am happy with experience. Sunday at lunch and we are in fourteen; the menu will be as follows: antipastinum composed of fried dumpling with meat. coupon cream nuts. good to ragù. I didn't like it; pasta too al dente and ragù insipidoscaloppine with mushrooms: enough involtini: discreticontorni: grilled vegetables and baked potatoes. English soup. excellent bitter coffee and wine... View all feedback.
Typical local in the first Modena hill. large parking lot, paved road for access. is one of the few locals in the area that still reflects the true spirit of the farm. fixed menu and essential approach but at the same time very friendly. very good food. panoramic view from the terrace. That's how it's okay.
Amazing local food quality and quantity! We stayed at the Agriturismo connected to the restaurant and ended up eating there twice. The food was local, fresh and amazing. Quantity was generous we were full both times!
On our Tuscany tour, we had our best dinner at Le Casette. Not knowing what to expect, they just started with serving the first courses (out of many). So dont expect ordering from a menu, you will be served with different pasta, meat, sausages, cheese, vegetables... Also, drinks (water and lambrusco) are included in the price, which is so low we even started to feel bad about it. We compensated with a good tip for the waitresses, which were always around and did a great job. Defenitely recommended, you will not be disappointed!
I had never been here, and went as part of a group. Today, November 23, the restaurant was totally full, yet the food was delicious and freshly prepared. The kitchen is open for all to see and was spotless. I loved the friendly atmosphere. Food was plentiful and delicious. Make sure to check out the veggies, as well as the tortelloni. Having a table in a corner was an advantage. If we'd been sitting in the middle of one of the rooms. the noise of so many conversations might have been bit too much. The town of Castelvetro is a tiny antique jewel, if you have time for a walk after eating. La Casette is not easy to find, so leave some time to figure out the streets. Even Google maps was not much help. I'll definitely return.
