simple but lovely lunch al fresco under canopy just outside the Pompeii ruins. Lunch was simple pizza and vegetable antipasta. Reasonable prices given proximity to the ruins, but very much worth the price for the respite. There is a standard cove charge and a 20% service charge View all feedback.
What Stuart B doesn't like about Vittoria:
A four star hotel? We stopped for a late lunch after our visit to Pompei and were sadly disappointed by very average food lasagne, pasta and pizza and slow service (over 20 minutes and 2 reminders to get a drink). The staff were doing their best but 2 people to manage a large outside area was not sufficient. A tourist trap and we fell into it. Our advice take a packed lunch to Pompei, all the restaurants looked over... View all feedback.
This was just a stop of convenience after a hot day walking Pompeii. The chairs and shade were our initial draw, but it turned out the restaurant served one of the best calzoni I've ever had.

We stopped at this restaurant so we could eat some lunch as it is right next to the outside of pompeii. To start we were given oil and breads. I had a lovely lasagna which tasted amazing and it was a very generous portion. My boyfriend had gnocchi in a tomato sauce which was also lovely. A very nice restaurant in a good location.
Stay away from this restaurant. 8 euro for a sandwich take away. We discovered it when we paid since there were no information around. 7 € for a Cup of fruits. 2 Euros for half liter water. Just stay away and go somewherelse.
