Nice place but a pity about the food and the staff. One dish served was particularly inedible and when we complained we were told the English do not understand fine cuisine!! Gristle and fat with no meat is not my idea of fine cuisine!! View all feedback.

But , the food is very good nonetheless and during the week the basic set menu offers extraordinary value for money. Wines are fairly priced too . What lets the place down is the lack of atmosphere or warmth in the service, and indeed the decor which is modern/smart but lacking in character. And that is a consistent criticism of ours .... We say the same thing each time we visit. Having said all that it's still very good.

I came here with my husband one night in July; a real strength is the unpretentious nature of the place, you certainly don't feel out of place in smart casual clothes. The food is excellent. Innovative and well cooked with good sized portions. The wine I chose was too sweet for our dishes and the waiter suggested another which was good. I don't usually drink white wine in this region of France as I prefer heavily oaked Aussie Chardonnay but his selection was quite on point. The red snapper we had was delicious and cooked to perfection. It is worth booking; sometimes very full and in the summer shut. Well worth a visit.

I'v eaten in this restaurant several times and always look forward to returning. French cuisine well cooked ,well presented and local produce used. Welcome very friendly. service excellent, with just the right time between courses. Good value for money with a range of menus as well as a la carte. Very much worth a try

Our latest visit to Le Cook lived up to expectations. As always, the staff were friendly and attentive, though never over-bearing. The food was cooked to perfection (langoustines, followed by filet steak, and finished off with strawberry bavarois!), in perfect portions, and packed with flavour - it's clear that a lot of love goes into the food! Although we were treating ourselves, and 'splashing out' a bit, it's clear from the menu that you could eat very well indeed, without needing to spend very much at all.I can't wait until our next visit...

I've eaten here a few times now. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and portions are just right. I've never been left disappointed. Looking forward to continuing to work my way through the menu next visit.
