The Brasserie At La Grande Mare

I had a lovely three-night stay here for a roller washing/rally. Our room was small, but it was sufficient—clean and beautifully furnished. It was tidied up daily by two lovely ladies who really went above and beyond. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the bar and reception staff were very attentive. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We visited for afternoon tea on a weekday with three people, and it was a delightful experience overall. The spread was generous and filled with tasty treats! However, the selection of sandwiches could use some improvement, and the scones were a bit dry. On the bright side, the hot chocolate was wonderful, and the chocolate fondue accompanied by fresh fruits and brownies was absolutely delicious! Our server was new, so we had to ask for a few things, but they were very friendly and accommodating. The view of the sea was stunning, making it one of the best afternoon tea experiences on the island, and it offered excellent value for the price.

Had a few days here in the next season if they might have expected to cut a few corners or rescue pennies, but no sign of it at all. the community areas are beautifully kept and our room was so clean and comfortable. the breakfasts were great and the bar was always welcoming and has a nice view over the promenade and the beach. we had dinner and that was a good quality for the price and all the staff were competent and friendly. would give six stars if I could, the imperial is worth a big one.

Beautiful, spacious room (especially the USB chargers in the room, as we both remembered the wires for our phones, but forget the power adapter! . the breakfast was nice and the staff very friendly. we looked after our kits so well until we left the evening ferry on the day of departure so we didn't have to take them anywhere! a bit of a walk from the sea terminal (at least 20 minutes, but beautiful, at the sea to foot. well placed for most places in douglas. had a great time, thank you.

The hotel was clean and central. Walking distance to centre. The room was a fair size and the bathrooms were well appointed and clean! The only issue for me was the breakfast room and the breakfast itself was average.
