Note: I later found a small free trolley from main marina parking lot to the center of town, but too late in this first trip into Cassis.Our guide pointed out La Bada, "the food is good there", which in France means not too shabby, so I gave it a chance. Ordered a cappuccino to sip while awaiting my lunch choice. Service was decent but not attentive, as things began to pick up with the lunch crowd.I enjoyed my fresh grilled salmon, which took about 20 minutes to prepare. It was nicely done, lightly seasoned and not dry. A cone of turmeric-tinted white rice and sauté of mixed harvest veggies, (zucchini, potatoes and red peppers), made a colorful and healthy display and rounded out a good sized lunch portion overall.Price was less than 20 Euros, and I feel fair value received. Nice views to the small beach, marina and cliffs beyond. Other diners, including many locals, seemed to enjoy their repasts equally well. There is a small flight of stairs and ramps to dining and WC, so with railings this mobility challenged Senior was able to manage just fine.

Then the food was cold, no word of excuse, not even a smile. How poor service can spoil the fantastic view.
