Whitling Whimsy
Description
Nestled beside the town’s famous World's Largest Wind Chime, this charming café offers hearty breakfasts, sandwiches, salads and sweet tea in a casual, small‑town setting. Guests enjoy fresh ingredients, quick counter service, friendly staff, and porch seating with quirky attractions like a giant rocking chair. Prices are reasonable and family‑friendly, though some find certain dishes merely adequate and the spartan decor and disposable dinnerware off‑putting. It’s an inviting, tourist‑friendly stop for road‑trippers and local visitors.

Service was fast. They were very busy. Tons of tourist looking at the World's Largest wind chime. I had vegie wrap, Wife had BLT, KIDS HAD PBJ'S. ALL WAS GOOD. Great service. We sat outside and listened to the wind chime.
We had breakfast here, and it was wonderful. Our two boys enjoyed the pancakes and bacon, while my husband opted for the breakfast special, and I had a breakfast sandwich—all of which were delicious. The only downside is that you have to place your order at the front counter, as there are no waitstaff. However, the staff members are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
It's conveniently located next to the wind chime, but the food is kind of so so and there is not service. They take your order, you get it and clean your own table. I had biscuits and gravy, they were ok, but not something to write home about. My mom's french toast was the same. Cheap bacon. Prices are ok, but you really are getting what you pay for.
