What User doesn't like about Diana E Atteone:
This place is a bit pricey. After walking quite a distance on the Caserta palace grounds, you are pretty thirsty or hungry. This is the only option for food or drink. This place is good for drinks, chips, ice cream. Lots of seating. We didn't try the pizza. View all feedback.
One of the highlights of visiting the Royal Palace in Caserta, is walking through the marvelous park and exploring the enchanting English Gardens. The catch is that once you get to the end of the park you are about 20-30min walk away (there is a shuttle, but you have to wait for it and in COVID times you don 't want to be on public transportation from the exit and who knows how long away from your restaurant choice that you probably did not make yet. The restaurant Diana and Atteone solves that problem. Conveniently located at what can be considered the end of your visit to the Palace (on top of the hill from which the waterfall starts, right next to the fountain of Diana and Atteone (I have to add: a little bit hidden, it is not really much advertised , this place has all you need for a quick lunch (and more! when you visit the Palace and its park. It has outdoor seating on a peaceful garden/terrace that offers great views of the valley surrounding Caserta and its plains, a different perspective on the region Campania. The menu does not offer than many choices, but it 's all good stuff, with a selection pasta (spaghetti, gnocchi, risotto , meat-based second courses, and salads. We shared the appetizer charcuterie board (Tagliere delle Due Sicilie: 15 euros and had the special (piatto dello chef Monzù Peppino : 10 euros , which that day (and in season was pasta in a pumpkin/mint sauce (Delicious! . We could have not asked for better, since we had not planned our lunch ahead of time and this was the quickest solution. I totally recommend it if you are visiting the Royal Palace and you did not bring sandwiches (if you want to save money, that is always the best option and you don 't really know what to do for lunch. Great service (I have to say, we had lunch around noon and left around 1:15pm and we were the only one having lunch , quick and the waiter serving us was really nice (I am not sure if they speak English ... Prices are average: pastas and entrees range between 10 euros and 16 euros. The whole meal for us -a couple- was about 45 euros, including coperto , but we did not get any drink, but with appetizer. No appetizer, you can probably spend about 20 euros per person, maybe less. It also depends on how hungry you are, and after a visit to that palace (let me tell you , you 'll be hungry. My recommendation is that you can totally make it part of your visit to the Palace.
The most unfortunate experience! The person (lady-Marilen) who serves and collects the consumption is extremely aggressive and nervous. Although there were seats both on the terrace and inside, he did not want to serve us, rather, he invited us outside...!!!! Italian hospitality???
My experience was bad there. Waitress and her attitude was not welcoming. Maybe Italian tourists are welcomed but For English tourists I do not recommend because English skills is bad and menu is in italian only. Prices are too high for that service and attitude to customers

Good service, good food and the garden terrace is simply beautiful. the front of the building looks a little dirty.
