F... read more For a conventional popular Lunch or diner , savouring the most portuguese traditional dishes , one can find just across the LOJA de CASCAIS the Restaurante D. Fausto. After my morning beach and Sea Dive at Guincho , I went there with my wife to savour 2 grilled Douradas . ... AND ? ... Superb ! A melon and a coffe ended 2 lunches for 20 €uros . What to say more than this ?

Really local and friendly and excellent value. We had bitoque with egg on top and bacalhau a bras all for 15 euros.

We had grilled pork and chips and also a local well-sm... read more Went here for lunch as it was just down the street from our apartment. Good value well-cooked local food. We had grilled pork and chips and also a local well-smoked sausage the lagavulin whisky of sausage) eggs and chips all freshly cooked and generous portions. The service was friendly and prompt. The cover charge included a basket of fresh bread, olives, cheese and an empanadas, which was delicious. The final bill including wine and coffees came to 23 euros. This snack bar/restaurant is next to the tax office and the post office so is well used by local people and as tourists you just blend in with the crowd. Inside it is large and would be a good place to go with children in tow.
