We had a nice meal here in the restaurant castro, on a cold evening in the february. my man has tasted fresh sweet soup also my perfectly boiled mustels in a white wine garlic sauce. beautiful fresh sole, with french fries for both of us for the main course, cooked exactly as it should be. to finish a very nice meal, we shared a mandelkuchen disc. we had a nice wee to accompany the meal. great. at the end of the meal we enjoyed a chat with the owner fernando, an Italian couple. Fernando told us that he has been a restaurant owner for many years and has lived much more in the opposite. next time in cascais this restaurant is a must for us!
That was a beautiful traditional fish restaurant. The owner and the staff were friendly and the food was really good. The fish is fresh. This restaurant is located on a small back street, but worth the visit.
It is hidden but it worthy to spend time finding it. Any fish is outstanding, we had clams, pork, Portuguese cod a nice seafood rice. Don’t miss the wine “Vinho Verde”
Great place People working here doing great job just take care « nothing is for free » so if you don’t ask bread and it come on it he table, just say NO. Also ask for coffee with cognac, just wanted a small one, and they end up pushing me taking a big one costing 4 times more and I was not expecting that… but they gave a huge glass of « Portugues cognac » sorry I forgot the name, sorry to offence. The food was GREAT, we Had definitely a good time. You should give a chance.
