Tucked a few streets away from the hustle of the touristic hub, you’ll find this little restaurant with a great patio covered by vines. Don’t let the old school menu scare you. It’s run by a sweet elderly couple and it’s an experience like going to have a meal with your grandparents. The food is honest, fresh, cooked right on the little grill on the patio, and it is delicious. We even had dessert and it was a creme c... View all feedback.

What domhun dislikes about A Antiguinha:
The waitress a very old lady apparently didn't speak English and didn't say hello, just showed us our table. After 10 minutes waiting she brought a paper cover for the table and fixed it swearing in Portuguese. After 10 more minutes waiting we have decided to leave. Even though the old lady has seen us leaving she didn't even say a word. View all feedback.

We even had dessert and it was a creme caramel so light and fluffy even my mother might have been jealous.

The kind elderly couple, though slow, provided meticulous service. I ordered ‘Arroz de marisco,’ and despite the lengthy preparation, received a delicious and hearty dish. Cash only accepted.

Everything about this place is so wonderfully fresh and authentic that you will want to hug the owners and thank them for letting you eat here! Go often, tip well, and bring friends. They will thank you!!
