The staff... read more I normally wait to write a review after I finished the meal, but Valente Is so amazing, I cannot wait. You're not going to find a more tranquil place. The staff is absolutely welcoming, they all greeted me as I walked in. I chose the orecchiette to start and then wrapped pork an potatoes the second plate. I'm sure I'll pick a dessert so I can make this experience last a little longer. I'm so happy to have found this place and I can guarantee you'll love every bite. UPDATE: I GOT DESSERT

Tasteful decor in an outdoor courtyard in the centre of Casarano creating a relaxed but smart environment. The food was superb- I went for traditional pasta with octopus, my wife for slow cooked beef pasta parcels with bechamel sauce. Dessert was a real treat, especially the traditional gelato. We also appreciated the fresh warm bread on arrival and good value white wine

Divine music and an organic wine. Followed by a brilliant octopus salad. Pasta from the gods and a dessert to die for. Worth every penny

Our visit to Valente afforded us a magical e... read more We discovered Valente while on our 2nd vacation with my wife, two young sons and their grandparents in the Salento. Our visit to Valente afforded us a magical evening in their gorgeous outdoor courtyard. Every bite was delicious. To make kids, parents and grandparents happy is a hard feat, but the food, atmosphere and team at Valente combined for as memorable a dining experience as I’ve had anywhere.

Tasty a... read more We were recommended by Mara our B&B hostess to eat at this local restaurant. What a find. Delicious made to order, Italian meals, typical of the region. Tasty and hot. Even the bread is made to match the flavour of the local olive oil. We had delicious orecchiete, or 'little ear ' pasta also from this region, in various sauces. We are not easy customers with one of us not eating meat and the other not eating cheese the chef still catered for us making what we wanted from the menu minus meat /cheese. Very pleasant, helpful staff. You have the choice of sitting inside or outside in a lovely enclosed courtyard, we sat out. It is popular with locals, great atmosphere and we would recommend.
