Tenko Japan - Cary

First time here, nice little place. Got hibachi chicken and hibachi steak with fried dumplings. We both like our meals, wives got more vegetables than me ?, but she doesn't even eat vegetables. I wished it little bit more favor on the steak pieces. The rice was good with the vegetables. The fried dumplings were nice and hot. The restaurant was okay. There was water by the employee door entrance, and the bathroom was in the back of the restaurant.

Tenko Japan is great for a casual lunch or takeout. The Bento box-style meal is a perfect quantity for me!Food: 4/5

Favorite go to Japanese takeout place. Been going here for years. Prices have gone up over the years so it’s kind of expensive now but it’s worth going every now and then just to try it. I usually get the hibachi chicken and shrimp and the wife usually gets the yummy chicken entree. Both are pretty good. You can expect to spend about $13 per person here (not including drink) and I’d recommend calling in your order so that your food is ready when you get there. Hope this helps!

Pretty good. It's pretty dead in here and we just ordered off of the tablet computer thing inside. We got a kids tenko chicken bowl which is basically teriyaki chicken and the tastiest of the three things we ordered. The shrimp is okay. I would skip it next time. The other chicken was pretty good too kinda similar to orange chicken or a general tso's kind of fried chicken balls. Decent. They give you a TON of hibachi rice but not much veg. The shrimp dish had the most generous amount of veggies. I can't put my finger on what the sauce is but I don't think it really adds anything to the meal. It's like a watery homemade mayo something. My toddler liked it a lot haha Would come back. Not amazing but decent and portions are large.
