Terrible place, they should shut it down. The guy at the cafe was least interested in serving the customer. He already had his excuses ready even before we could order the food. And talking about the food, please stop claiming that you serve authentic bengali food. None of your items tasted anything closer to the food you get in Bengal. My suggestion send your chef for a trip to West Bengal so that you can run the business delivering better tasting dishes. Would never recommend the place to anybody. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Very nice Indian desserts! I got the rasmalai, burfi, power balls, and I forgot the name of the last one but it was like a Nepali banana and fennel pancake. That last one as well as the burfi were my favorites. The rasmalai was honestly not to mytaste as I'm used to it being very different. The owner is really helpful and friendly, he shared with us the story of the cafeand was a great salesman. I'll definitely be back for more burfi!

By far the best authentic East Indian mithai selection!!! The shop is owned and operated by Craig Wishart, an interesting and well travelled PhD; the kitchen at Mithai is operated by an ex El Salvadoran army commander. Together they truly make the bestauthentic Bengali mithai, the quality of the sweets in my experience has always been consistent and exceptional. The mithaiselections are always fresh and never doused in sugary syrups to mask inferior , the milk is sourced from Homeland Creamery inJulian NC. This is the kind of a shop where the owner will never compromise on his product offerings and is ever so passionateabout his quaint little mithai heaven.
