What Daniel Marshall doesn't like about City Barbeque:
Looks good but it was awful. Mac and cheese was cold and had a strange taste to it. Hush puppies were fresh but had an off taste as well (not the only one as I saw someone take a bite and throw out the rest of theirs). Ribs were “ok” but again, they were cold. The best thing was the corn muffin. For what I paid I don’t expect cold or funky will not be back. View all feedback.
The brisket sandwich is excellent. This was a carryout meal for a dozen people. Also had the pork and chicken sandwiches. No complaints.
The brisket was dry. The ribs which I never had before were dry and no meat on it. The last couple of times I’ve been there it’s been soso. Would not recommend them.

Best Brisket in area Rocky Mount to Knightdale! Really nice clean ladies bathroom stocked with thoughtful amenities like dental pics, mints and tissues on vanity.
