While the menu is somewhat limited, the culinary team, including a two-time James Beard nominee, delivers well-executed dishes that are beautifully presented. Diners have praised the flavorful steak and unique desserts, though some found certain dishes lacked seasoning or generous portions. Service consistently receives high marks for attentiveness, making the experience enjoyable despite occasional wait times for food. Overall, Largos offers a blend of comfort and upscale dining that encourages guests to return, eagerly anticipating new specials and a warm dining experience.
Really thoughtful and unique menu. Food was delicious, fresh and presented well. This is the second time we've visited, and we always feel relaxed and have plenty of time to enjoy the meal.
New chef and you can tell a difference. I thought the restaurant was okay before but now it is so wonderful. We actually asked to speak to the chef it was so delicious and found out he is a 2 time james Beard nominee. You sure can tell!
Largos is a beautiful restaurant with a swanky vibe in the heart of Cartersville. My family of four went the other night for the first time, and enjoyed our dinner. The only issue was the long wait for our entrees... at least 40 minutes. Once we said something to our server, the chef made it a point to come to our table to apologize and let us know what happened, which we appreciated. Our server comp dessert as a goodwill gesture. We ordered the special, Sea Bass and it was delicious. I also ordered a bottle of wine for the table and thought the price was quite reasonable. Our server even offered to decant the bottle. Other than the hiccup with our order and the fact we had to bring it to our server's attention, we enjoyed our visit to Largos. I would highly recommend to check them out.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but our first dinner at Largos was disappointing. The restaurant decor is modern and beautiful. Our table for 2 was too small for our food, and drinks. Kyndal, our server, was great. My husband ordered the Elk steak which was beautifully presented and he enjoyed it. I ordered the acorn squash salad that was supposed to have arugula but tasted mostly like bib lettuce. If there was any goat cheese in it, it wasn't noticed. I also ordered butternut squash soup that had a very thick consistency, more like a thick puree. The spoon stood up in it unsupported and it quickly congealed around the edges of the bowl. We will probably give Largos another try but I have not recommended to friends based on our first experience.
I must say, the experience was outstanding. The new chef 's creations were truly amazing, and the innovative new menu offered a delightful and unique culinary experience. I must give a special mention to Courtney, the bartender, who was absolutely fabulous in making our evening even more enjoyable. The combination of great food and excellent service truly sets this restaurant apart. I can 't wait to return for another memorable dining experience!
