Reviews - Poly Grill Bakery

#20 - Vegetarian - Carson, Grill, Meat

Reviews summary

A Carson favorite for Samoan and Polynesian comfort food, this family-style spot draws praise for fresh daily cooking, standout baked goods (panipopo, peach pies, plain loaves), lamb curry and warm, attentive service. The bakery is well stocked and phone/takeout ordering is convenient, making it a community destination. Most diners rave about authentic flavors and hospitality, though some report high prices and occasional uneven dishes, so expect excellent sweets and homestyle meals with variable value.

I was looking for someone or some place that makes panipopo and panikeke. My pastor put me on to Poly Grill. They certainly lived up to their reputation. It was really easy to place my order for panipopo and peach pies by phone. A deposit was requiredso I paid by CashApp. I asked if there was a possibility of picking it up early. The lovely young lady said she would call mewhen it 's ready. True to her word, she did. I got there right beforr closing time. One of the reasons I love Poly people isbecause of their hospitality and generosity. They threw in some extra desserts. That was so surprising and much appreciated. They also loaded everything in my car. Everyone at the party tonight raved about how delicious both desserts were. Theirpanipopo is not too sweet, perfectly fluffy and coconut creamy. We had two chefs present that kept asking Who made this? Thisis so delicious. Where are they located? Thanks to the hook up, the fire dancer (only Poly person at the party) was able totake home her own trays. Excellent customer service and food to match? I 'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Muli Pipi consistently offers meat that is so tender it simply falls off the bone. The palusami is always of excellent quality and dependable. The food is fresh and bursting with flavor. The staff is courteous and greets you warmly upon arrival. The fe'e is unexpectedly tender, not tough like rubber. I've dined there two weekends in a row, which speaks volumes, don’t you think?

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the woman who warmly welcomed us was the owner of the restaurant. She informed us that she prepares the food, while her husband is responsible for the delightful bread and desserts. It's not often you encounter people who genuinely love what they do and are able to share that passion with their customers. This place truly captures that essence. If you're looking for a restaurant in Carson that serves fresh Samoan cuisine and baked goods, along with the finest bread and outstanding customer service, you need to visit Poly Grill.

We were in Long Beach for a family event and heard that “Poly Grill Bakery” was the place to visit for some deliciously made Poly food. As soon as we walked into the shop we instantly realized we were home with all the nostalgic smells of Samoan cuisines that were cooked in our own homes growing up. The ladies up front were so sweet and helpful to our party of 7. We spent over $500 and they honored their student ID policy and submitted the discount that brought our total down to $445. We placed an order for a dozen half Moon pineapple pies, that were made to perfection and just like my Momma’s. The beautiful lady, gave us a time and called us as soon as the pies were ready which was right before the time she gave us. We had brunch and the food was perfect for all of our dietary needs (hungry). The options included vegetarian, I don’t eat meat but I was able to enjoy some of the delicious food with my family. The desserts, and all the food were great better than places I’ve had in other states. We sent pictures to family members out of the state and made them jealous. They turned off their notifications! , way to represent the Poly People through your beautiful hospitality and delicious food! Thank you so much Poly Grill Bakery. You made our trip to Cali more memorable and we’ll be back to visit you!

This is a polynesian eatery, specifically samoan style food. The food tastes good, I like the bakery items more than anything. Food is a little pricey, but I get it.

I received a warm welcome and felt recognized as soon as I arrived. The food selection was almost fully stocked, with 99% of the items available. There was a wide variety of choices, and the bakery was well-organized, with popular items easily accessible.
