Driving by Island BBQ and the smell in the air made me turn around a half.mile down the road. They had just opened and hour before we got there I got a brisket meal with coleslaw and smoked Mac and cheese and it came to $17 and some change Brisket: 1/5 It was obscenely dry and tasteless.. zero smoke flavor and way overcooked.. no smoke ring no nothing.. it looked polar opposites of what they show on their website plus side it was a fair portion. Mac n cheese: 3/5. It was very cheesy and tastes good with a mild smoked paprika flavor. The noodles were overcooked and soggy Coleslaw: 5/5. The coleslaw was great.. not your typical slaw. Has a nice pepper bite but with a mild sweetness and zing... BBQ Sauce 5/5 The star of the show was the original BBQ sauce.. it was absolutely delicious and clearly homemade... Service and wait time was great, no issues there

I was with a group of 10 motorcycle riders this past Sunday and stopped at the Island. Everybody had great food, the service was quick, and great outside seating. Well worth the nearly 2 hour ride! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
