Smoothie Factory - Carrollton

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while looking for a new laundromat. When I crave a smoothie, I'm not interested in flavored powders, concentrated fruit, or mixed juices. I want fresh, real fruits and vegetables blended together, and this place definitely delivered! I think I ordered the ginger berry greens; it was a long night at the Rangers game, so my memory is a little foggy. It's increasingly difficult to find a genuine smoothie spot these days, so I will definitely be returning! I’m excited to try more flavors.

The usual route to the order window was blocked off with ropes, and there were no signs indicating the correct direction to take. Is there a manager at this location?

I'm very particular about my smoothies, and I found the perfect peanut butter smoothie here, made with banana and vegan protein. I won't be going back to Smoothie King again. The staff also checked in with me after my first sip to ensure I enjoyed it, which I really appreciated.

Before finding this location, me and my partner would frequent the Smoothie King (same parking lot as Walmart so it was convenient after grocery shopping but being sensitive to artificial sweeteners and really, really hating when concentrated fruit is blended up (because it tastes pulpy or foamy and not fresh , the lack of consistency, and also not liking the feeling that I 'm drinking dessert instead of a healthy smoothie, we began driving around to find something better. Originally from Cali, I 'm a Jamba Juice girl because I like my smoothies to actually be healthy in all forms BUT I haven 't set foot in a Jamba location for years now because well, I 'm cheating on them with this Smoothie Factory location. Before you call Maury Povich on me for this blasphemy, let me explain... First off, this Smoothie Factory has the best staff ever who are pretty consistent with how they make the smoothies (to the point that even if I don 't physically go to the store myself, by taste I can tell who made it lol! They also remember my order whenever my partner goes in. Sure, we can chalk this up to me being a smoothie addict who may or may not order the same smoothie several times a week BUT I also order the same thing several times a week from a local donut shop, they still don 't have me or my order memorized yet EVERYBODY working at this Smoothie Factory does lol that 's saying something about service, quality, and attention to detail which as most of us can agree is rare these days. Pros: Location is clean, vibes are mellow (quiet with places to sit , staff is excellent, texture isn 't whipped or foamy it 's more of a blended juice slush consistency which is awesome if you 're not looking for a smoothie to be SHAKE CONSISTENCY (like Smoothie King and are actually looking for a healthy raw smoothie as the universe intended, smoothie ingredient quality is consistent each time I 've had them no matter who makes them (depending on who makes it will determine which ingredients you taste more prevalently but they 're still always good with the same texture consistency unlike some places , and it 's a pretty quick in and out (also unlike some places that seemingly hold you hostage until they make 50 orders in front of yours sorry Jamba, I had to say it you 're all thinking it too. Cons: being a former gym groupie, I 'm used to being able to get a healthy smoothie before working out in the morning or starting work so the opening hours are a little late if you 're someone who has a 9 or 8 5 schedule or someone who likes to work out at the crack of dawn before the rest of the neighborhood wakes up. Though I believe they 've begun opening earlier probably for the reasons listed above (8am if I recall correctly and being located within walking distance of at least 3 gyms and a Zumba center. I 'm not going to tell you what to do (because I 'm not your dad , but try the Peach Sunshine with apple juice added if you 're feeling parched in this Texas heat or if you have an easily upset stomach/can 't keep food down but can 't stand the taste of ginger (it 's a lifesaver when you have a stomach bug but ginger makes me gag give it a go! Best smoothie ever and you won 't taste the ginger but you 'll definitely feel the benefits. My partner gets the PB&J (not really a smoothie kinda dude and finishes it practically in one sitting so I assume that means it 's also good.
