Amazing ice cream, friendly staff, cozy environment. A hole in the wall, mom and pop shop who's product is made just a few miles away. The waffle cones and cookies are also made in house. (Waffle cones are amazing! I had the bee's knees and French toast on a waffle cone... spectacular combo! I would have gave them 5 stars if it weren't for the lack of disclosure upon trying the Irish coffee ice cream, it contained an... View all feedback.
What Michael L doesn't like about Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor:
I love their ice cream, but the experience is usually not great. They’re closed a lot. They often have young kids running the store. If there’s more than two people ahead of you in line, you’ll be there 20-30 minutes for a scoop. They’re certainly not inexpensive, but that wouldn’t matter so much if they had good service. Everything is outstanding except: no a/c!We went there when they were making the waffle cones and smell delicious. The ice cream flavors are extravagant but very tasty.Good price for a good ice cream. The staff was very friendly.
Good ice cream, but they didn't have all flavors. Sign of the times
I got mellon moon pie graham cracker banana chocolate chip marshmallow kind of strange sounding maybe but I really liked it. their flavors are super unique imo and I love the variety so far. Also tried the buckcherry which includes goat cheese and was again surprisingly good to me. Kind of pricey $5 for 1 scoop in a cup) but worth it for the unique flavors imo
Great Ice Cream, but don 't ask for a shake/malt!!!So I went here the other weekend and there were three people working (2 experienced employees and a new trainee). I ordered two pints of ice cream and a large malt. While the man serving me was preparing the pints, the other server offered to make my malt and show the new trainee how to make a shake and he agreed. The second server making the malt asked my original server how much the scale needed to read for the proper amount of ice cream in a shake. He told her 13 for a small and 18-20 for a large. She measures it and it comes out to 15. She tells the trainee that she is going to make the shake anyways because she already put three scoops in. Sure enough, she ended up not having enough to fill the cup so tells the trainee (who has been watching her the entire time) to just fill the rest of the cup up with whip cream and that the customer won 't notice the difference anyways...All of this happened right in front of me. Did she think that the glass ice cream fridge magically made it so I couldn 't hear her or something? Sure enough, it was a cup that was like a 4th or 5th filled with whip cream. The worst part is that it was a bad server teaching a new trainee to be bad at their job.The original guy did a great job with my pints though so I gave it 3 stars.
My family was verbally accosted by a customer in front of us, and witnessed by the three people working. Said customer was offended when a worker asked if our party was ready to order and then started dropping F bombs and then … wait for it…. said that our family was the “best form of birth control”. The workers did nothing and served this woman anyway. Employees shouldn’t have allowed this kind of behavior, and at the very least … should have told the woman to leave.
