Finally sound some very delicious Mexican food in Carroll County. Highly recommend the fajitas, the white sauce is amazing. The chips are perfectly salty and the queso is big time delicious. What Kiester Chronicles doesn't like about Papa Joe's Mexican:
Service was excellent, atmosphere can’t be beat, but I found the food to be a little disappointing. There was almost no heat in the salsa, though the chips were well cooked and well salted. I ordered the fried fish tacos and they were very bland and not seasoned at all. My wife had the taco salad with beans and had a similar reaction. Reliable, fresh, made from scratch, flavorful Mexican food. I love the paradillada.
Papa Joe's Mexican Restaurant had quite an extensive menu. Everyone in our party thought the food was delicious. The portions were also good. Our servers were excellent. There was plenty of parking, as well.
Do not get talked into the famous fajitas with cream sauce, it's terrible

I have been here many times so Im not sure what happened with this visit. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, hardly any people at all. After we were seated waited for at least 15 minutes before anyone got our order. We had to keep asking for chips/salsa. When our food finally came after a good 45 minute wait my food had hair inside of it. Everyone elses food was very dry. So had to wait another 10-15 mins to find someone to tell them about the hair and the response I received was complete attitude. I was then brought the check, not asked if i wanted something else or asked how everyone elses food was. Thankfully my food order was removed from my bill but noone at my table was impressed.
