I was born and raised in Westminster, MD, until we went overseas. We used to go to Hoffman after our baseball games and the ice was always amazing. What User doesn't like about Hoffman's Ice Cream:
It's decent, but not exceptional. I don't understand the excitement around this place; locals rave about it, but I found some of the ice cream flavors to be lacking. For instance, the Orange Pineapple tasted more like vanilla. I also ordered a sandwich, and there isn't much room for customization. I always choose vanilla when I want to evaluate an ice cream, and Hoffman's is simply outstanding—rich and creamy with a fantastic texture. It’s truly a treat. For an additional flavor, I decided on black cherry. Since the base ice cream is already so impressive, the flavor really shines, and the chunks of cherry elevate it even further. If we weren’t an hour away from home, I would have filled the trunk with gallons of it!
I ordered a beautifully decorated birthday cake for my daughter again this year. The service was incredibly professional, and the cake tasted fantastic! I simply sent in a picture of what we had in mind, and they executed it perfectly on the cake.

I've just recently started going here again. Tuesday I was there and the young guy behind the counter just looked at me and walked away, as if I didn't exist. And just looked at me stand there. I just smiled. When one of the other women behind the counter saw, and then saw my expression disdain) she immediately asked for my order. Again Friday I went back for Ice Cream. Hoffman's is the place for ice cream and fireflies on a warm summer evening. The fireflies are thicker there out in the field after the ice cream, and they add to the sweet and unique memory. It's one of the best summertime experiences I enjoy with my family and any visitors in town. If you want delicious home-made ice cream with a variety of mix-ins, and many other treats, if you want fast, friendly professional service with a smile, make Hoffman's an experience for you
