Chill place to hang out and try hard kombucha and mead. Each small glass is $4 or you can get a flight of 6 for $22. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating, some parking available on site. This place is part of The Row, which is a collection of food/drink shops, including a Turkish cafe, wine bar, and empanada kitchen. You can sit at one place and order from another shop and they deliver to you. There is live music on some Saturdays.

I want to love this place. Cute, off the main path, inside is fun, outside seating, but I’m often disappointed in the drinks. It will be like 30% awesome and 70% way off the mark for my tastebuds. But maybe I’m just weird! I do highly recommend checking it out and I do revisit but I usual only love 1 of the flights I get and the rest I’m not into. FYI there is a secret usually-catering only spot two doors down in the back alley. If they are around you might score some great treats with your drinks!

It's a great little place overall has kind of a cool setup.. it's off the beaten path which is nice it's pretty quiet..it's not just really on the street like many other restaurants and bars in cap. I had a beer there and it was fantastic...very sweet though. Overall I get the feeling they are somewhat new and I are trying to make a run at it.. be prepared to pay a little bit for a beer...overall a great place

Always great to see a meadery in CA. Brews here are very fine, and the tasting area is super chill. Love mead!!!

When I lived in Santa Barbara, The Apiary was my favorite place to get a drink. The mead and cider are amazing, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are so attentive and kind. I’ve since moved out of Santa Barbara, but am so happy they’ve started doing online orders so we can enjoy their mead and cider at home! I can’t wait to visit again in person.
