Tropical Smoothie Cafe - Carol Stream

I can't understand why this restaurant isn't rated higher. My experience with both the food and service was fantastic—definitely a five-star experience! I plan to return for sure. I had initially thought they only served smoothies, but the chicken breakfast wrap is definitely worth coming back for. It has just the right amount of spice to give you a nice boost, and it’s quite filling. The mango berry cosmo was absolutely amazing. Even though I was stuffed, I felt energized and ready to take on the day!

Fresh and delicious, with fantastic wraps and quesadillas. The smoothies were outstanding, offering a wide variety of options and add-ins. I highly recommend it for lunch or a healthy meal on the go.

I ordered a Santa Fe Chicken Quesadilla to go and this is what I received. I picked it up at the drive-thru and didn't realize how it looked until I got home. I was surprised to find it in a styrofoam box instead of the usual flat boxes with the Tropical Smoothie logo. Quesadillas shouldn't look like this! When I opened the box, all three slices were stuck together in a mess. Also, it seems they don’t clean their grill—eating burnt bits like this could make someone really sick. To top it off, it wasn't even a good quesadilla; there was way too much cheese, the tortillas were soggy instead of crisp, and the chicken still had tendons in it (which is gross). Overall, I was really disappointed.

At work, this is my favorite spot for lunch. The food is delicious, and the smoothies are fantastic too. I recently tried the location near my home, and I wasn't disappointed either. The ladies who took my order were very friendly. My 7-year-old son loved my smoothie and wants to join me next time!

I had a great first experience! I ordered the Avocolada, and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried the PB&J flatbread, and wow, it was amazing! I will definitely return for both dishes and more.
