Great place for a stroll, completely flat and very accessible. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly, and it wasn't too crowded on a bank holiday Monday. There were plenty of birds around, though it was easier to hear them than to spot them among the tall reeds. View all feedback.
Great experience, not only a great cause but also educational. We visited in early March and although we couldn't experience and see everything it was still very enjoyable and a great trip out (also got up close with a Robin who was very photogenic . The shop has loads of different things to chose from, from binoculars, keyrings and even mugs. With it being a rainy day we went to the cafe for a brew and a little treat, I'm sorry to the lovely staff as we stood there for ages as the options were too hard to chose from, so I highly recommend! Great for the family and kids and even the four legged friends as theirs a dog route also.
Very friendly staff who were happy to keep an eye on our bikes while we had coffee and cake. Lovely cafe upstairs, with a good selection of food and drink. A shame there isn't a big picture window, or outside seating a balcony would be amazing. We'll definitely be back.
Wonderful place for families with children and not only. If you come by train, with the train tickets, it's half price entrance, it use to be for free before the lockdown. Coffee place inside is very nice with very polite staff. Bird nature reserve it's just like a paradise, will endless paths to discover, huge variety of wildlife birds, insects and plants. Very clean and nicely maintained. We had wonderful day out and will definitely come back for more.
Easter Weekend and it was busy . Good to see families with their kiddies out. Dogs on leash are allowed around the perimeter, just not in the garden walk areas or hides. We used 4 of the hides, which are all neat and clean. Picnic tables in the garden and a Cafe above the shop. We had lovely Soup.. cake!. Cafe closes at 3pm. Second hand books on sale too. Our total bird species count was 54 for the day!
Great afternoon even in the rain, especially as it cleared up by late afternoon. Lovely cafe which we enjoyed before going round the reserve. Saw lots of Snipe, Cormorants, swans, Marsh harriers and sparrowhawk. The mumeration was cool.
