I read some of the negative reviews before I tried LeoGreta. OK, so negative nellies, you were looking for food prepared like they make it in Tuscany? Come on. We're in Pittsburgh. By Pittsburgh Italian restaurant standards, this is a good restaurant. The Chicken Parmesan was good. The highlight, though, was the side dish of roasted carrots that I ordered. The BEST spot in Pittsburgh. Brought back memories of the delicious meals we had at Fatigati’s back in the day. The chef, Greg, is wonderful and always comes out to chat after our meal. Will forever recommend this spot!
They made them with honey and sunflower seeds. The sunflower seeds are barely noticeable,(a good thing) and the honey was not overdone. The portion was huge... plenty for 2 or more people. The arugula/radicchio salad was just, ok. Service was great, and the staff is really good. You can tell they enjoy working there... always a sign of a well-managed restaurant.
Great Italian Restaurant! Excellent food and service. They even make their own desserts in house. Will return and highly recommend.
Great atmosphere! Very nice menu. The meatballs are delicious.Food: 5/5
This was our first visit to LeoGreta and it did not disappoint. Having traveled to Italy 8+ times, I can tell you that the food here is very authentic Italian cuisine no super strong flavors (everything was balanced well), pasta was made and cooked perfectly, portion size was great and prices were just right. I had the carbonara which was delicious, although the sauce reminded me more of a cacio e pepe and i think the pancetta would have been easier to eat if it was cut thinner. Their homemade sausage and meatballs were fantastic and their chicken parm was tender and delicious. I thought the goat cheese salad was AMAZING (they mix the goat cheese into the vinaigrette) as was the burrata appetizer. We also loved the light but flavorful tiramisu. We will definitely be going back!!Parking: Having grown up in the area, I was concerned about finding street parking at dinner time until we got there and saw that the lot across the street was all theirs and free parking. Very nice!
