The experience was enjoyable, but nothing extraordinary. There seemed to be a shortage of golf carts, as the group behind us was unable to get one around 9 AM. They definitely need more carts. Overall, it was a fun day, and the bar was excellent. They also have a grass driving range, which is not common for public courses in this area. What Earl Acacio doesn't like about The Blue Heron Golf Course:
The greens were in terrible condition; none of the putts stayed on their line, and there were bumps everywhere. The pace of play was reasonable, but since there was a tournament that started just before our arrival, we couldn't use any carts or push carts. Overall, I was disappointed with the course, but I suppose the price was fair given what we experienced. View all feedback.
Disappointed with upkeep of this course, simply not worth the $50 greens fee. Staff and restaurant were good! The tee boxes were so hard could barely get tees into most holes 17/18 in fact. Shame that I shot 6 over and still left with disappointment
Going down hill and appears to be run by teenagers. Disappointed
I learned to play golf on this course, so it will always be dear to me. However, I have to say that these were some of the worst greens I've ever encountered. It's nearly impossible to make a putt from beyond 5 feet. This place has potential if someone invested some money into it, but you definitely get what you pay for.
I ordered the lamb burger, but I was quite disappointed with my sandwich. It was quite bland and not at all what I had anticipated.
