We were on the way to another sushi place and it turned out to be closed when their hours showed Google to be open. See the nearest nearby Sushi Square and landed at this point. For a Monday there was a party vibe here, not something expected or something we were looking for, but was definitely a mood-lifting atmosphere! The sushi was very delicious and we enjoyed it very much! It turned out that it was a lovely end of our night after we were disappointed with the place we originally tried to try! The only negatives in this place are the chairs too hard to relax and a/c and or fans were too cold for a night that was already cold. Besides, this service was amazing, eating incredible, almost paid the price. Double-laugh roll was my favorite! (Bottom left in the photo) Silver dragon roll was also amazing. (Bottom right on the photo) Sacramento rolled a bit over fried (top) and rainbow roll (center) was fine.
I've been going to Silver Sake for a few years. Local neighborhood bar atmosphere. Jon is our favorite for tailor-made roles that are amazing! All chefs are great. I'm on my way now!
Love love this sushi place. this local hole in the wall has been around 20 years, and has never failed to provide the best culinary experience with wonderful service, eating and friendliness. we love silver, the atmosphere and the sushi! the pfefferfin is my favorite, but everything here is good. it's expensive, but what sushi place isn't. that's worth it.
Great sushi spot and always a good time. the personal is super friendly and attentive. they also have a lot of great love. get the chef special just say what they want/not want. soou good!
Had my sons graduation dinner here and everything was perfect. The deep fried cheesecake was devine and they even wrote Congrats. Excellent customer service
**Discovering Silver Sake: A Hidden Gem in Sushi Dining** Nestled within the neighborhood, Silver Sake impresses with its unpretentious atmosphere, friendly staff, and impressive sushi offerings. Diners rave about the fresh ingredients and expertly crafted rolls, especially the chef’s specials tailored to individual preferences. While the restaurant maintains a cozy vibe, some have encountered minor service hiccups, such as delayed dishes or unintended distractions. However, the overall dining experience shines, with many loyal patrons enjoying the balance of quality and value. As a beloved local establishment, Silver Sake continues to capture the hearts—and palates—of sushi enthusiasts.

The only downsides were that the wooden chairs were quite hard and uncomfortable for relaxing, and the air conditioning or fans were too chilly for an already cold night. Other than that, the service was fantastic and the food was incredible, making it almost worth the price. My favorite was the double salmon roll (bottom left in the photo) and the silver dragon roll (bottom right) was amazing too. The Sacramento roll was slightly over-fried (top), and the rainbow roll (middle) was just okay. Overall, it was a great experience!
I've been to this restaurant for lunch twice, and I usually go for the $8 lunch box, with drinks available for an additional charge. The meal is quite filling, featuring soup, salad, rice, and two main dishes. For instance, one time I enjoyed a California roll with four pieces and roughly an ounce and a half of sesame chicken.
I’m thrilled about my tofu bento box! I can't wait to try your new vegetarian menu as well! I just wanted to share some photos of the custom vegetarian bento box they created for me. Honestly, it has the BEST TOFU IN SACRAMENTO! This place is truly a hidden gem!
I absolutely loved the food! The sushi rolls were incredibly fresh, and the presentation was outstanding. I also enjoyed the interaction between the customers and the staff behind the counter. The singing added a fun touch to the experience!

I absolutely adore this sushi spot! This charming little restaurant has been a local favorite for 20 years, and it has consistently delivered an exceptional dining experience with outstanding service, delicious food, and a friendly atmosphere. We really enjoy the silver sake, the ambiance, and, of course, the sushi! My personal favorite is the pepperfin, but honestly, everything on the menu is great. While it can be a bit pricey, what sushi restaurant isn't? It's definitely worth it!
I've been visiting Silver Sake for several years now, and it has a cozy neighborhood bar vibe. Jon is our favorite for his incredible custom-made rolls, but all the chefs are fantastic. I'm actually on my way there now!

I'm a big fan of hidden gems, as I believe you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. However, this place fell short of my expectations. The menu included far too much mayo on the rolls for my liking!
Upon our arrival at 8:30 PM, just half an hour before closing, we were greeted with warmth and inquired about our day. We couldn’t help but feel a slight twinge of guilt for arriving so close to closing time...
