What David W doesn't like about Mika Sushi:
Server said she would bring my beer over 3 times. 20 minutes later I had to ask the owner and only then did I get my beer.To top it off the waitress said the price was $9.When the bill came it was $13 so I asked if she would adjust the price and she said she can't.To top it off what was supposedly 16oz. The chefs deserve a special mention; I've thoroughly enjoyed every dish I've ordered. I can confidently say I've had the best piece of sashimi I've ever tasted (as seen in the second picture). The restaurant itself is always clean and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, while the outdoor area is bright and lovely, adorned with plants and flowers. I can't express enough how wonderful this restaurant is. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work!
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The server promised to bring my beer three times, but after waiting 20 minutes, I had to ask the owner for it before I finally received it. To make matters worse, the waitress initially quoted the beer at $9, but the bill showed it as $13. When I asked if she could adjust the price, she said she couldn't. Additionally, what was advertised as a 16oz draft seemed more like 10 or 12oz. I spoke with the new owner about the long wait, the price discrepancy, and the smaller portion size, but he made no effort to address my concerns. As regular local customers, we will not be returning.
Exceptional. Tasty fresh fish on the sushi. First time having the Hamachi Kama (fish collar), definitely recommend it.We were seated right away, very warm welcome. The server was prompt and knowledgeable. All in all the hospitality and quality of food was amazing. We will be back.Dietary restrictions: If you ask they can modifyParking: We were lucky and got front row parkingKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes
My favorite sushi restaurant in Monterey County! I had dinner with my family at Mika, and everything we ordered was incredible. This place serves the best tempura I’ve ever tasted; it was lightly battered and fried to perfection. For the main course, I had the chirashi, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The owners are very friendly and clearly care about the quality of both the service and the food. I can’t wait to return!
