The service at the restaurant was excellent. We got there without a reservation closer to closing time and they took us with pleasure. Really appreciate the excellent customer service from this restaurant and will return in the future. Thank you. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Grill, Carmel-by-the-sea:
Not exactly what I expected. Quite a small, food is ok, but service was good. Right on Ocean Street, so nice people watching. But for the food overpriced. From the description I expected more Inspired food and fresh rather than store bought pasta. View all feedback.
While some of the dishes were enjoyable, the chicken and beef were unfortunately overcooked. It felt like a new restaurant still trying to find its footing. Since we were only in town for the weekend, I don't have any insights into their history or how long they've been operating, but I would recommend looking for other options.
Ordered dinner from Carmel Beach Grill last night and loved it! Will definitely be one of my new favorites in Carmel! We ordered chicken fajitas and several different dinner bowls. All we delicious and enjoyed by each of us! The salad and garlic bread were amazing....and thrown in as an extra! Can't imagine opening a restaurant two weeks before we started sheltering in place! So happy to support the small local businesses! Hope you will give them a try. The owners were delightful and very appreciative of our business!
My family and I have ordered from this new place twice in the past couple of weeks. We would love to eat in, but we were happy to order to go. The food was inexpensive and quite good! The dressing on the currently included salad was very good. They also included garlic bread as an incentive, and it too was tasty with the right degree of crunch. My entrees have been the scampi and pistachio crusted salmon, both of which were excellent! Family got the pasta bolognese and ravioli, which also were very good. I definitely recommend this place!
The restaurant was closed—not just for the night, but undergoing renovations. They had the permit posted on the door, but they should have informed OpenTable about the closure.
My sister and I concluded our meal with tea and baklava, which was fantastic. Our server was delightful and attentive, making for an overall excellent experience. Although the restaurant was bustling indoors, the tables were well spaced apart. I highly recommend this lovely Turkish restaurant, which clearly pays great attention to detail.
