Im not one to leave reviews, but my order was so good, I had to share. I ordered the Berry Bleu Salad with balsamic dressing and added chicken- the flavors paired so well, the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the portion was generous enough that I can take half for lunch tomorrow. Best salad Ive had in Monterey! View all feedback.
What Marionne M doesn't like about The Crossroads Bbq (carmel-by-the-sea):
C+ performance. The eat wasnt bad but it also wasnt anything to write home about. If youre just hungry for BBQ and not looking to have your mind blown this will get the job done, but overall the entire plate lacked flavor. Cornbread was made really well but needed sugar and salt. I used the BBQ sauce for the meat which is something I dont typically do. And that poor macaroni was crying out for some cheese, bless its... View all feedback.

Potato salad was pretty good though.
So for an $18 sandwich I got a half Brisket Sandwich.... thats insane, I dont even think this wouldve filled up my son. When ive ordered in person I got a normal size sandwich... but because I order online I get half of what I normally would? Beyond disappointed and will never be ordering anything again from this place. Seriously thoug, 4 small slices of brisket on my garbage sandwich which means every small slice of brisket was over $4? Hows this even a thing?
The tritip and pulled pork were really good, moist and tender, but the portion size was too small for the price.
For an $18 sandwich with a side of beans what a huge disappointment on so many levels. The portion size should be on the kids meal. The Tri Tip Sandwich has zero flavor, it is not tender and you will have to pick a bunch off fat off the meat. Your given a bbq dipping sauce which im pretty sure its Kraft bbq sauce. The bread I will say was fresh and delcious. The beans taste like Dennison chilli and you only get about 40mls. Very disappointed with the quality of the food for the price. I have had better Tri tip sandwichs with larger more flavorful portions at a lower cost from places equivalent to Dennys.
