Edwin's Carmel - Carmel-by-the-Sea

I was very disappointed that we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Since we were flexible, we opted to sit at the bar, but unfortunately, we had to send back a charred burger that was unappetizing even to the bartender. The linguini with shrimp was overcooked and overwhelmed with sauce. The only highlight of the evening was the live music, but ultimately, we left feeling hungry.

Excellent food, excellent service. Filipino food, fusion style. Very delicious!!

The noise level was excessively loud for any venue, and it was particularly overwhelming given the small size of the restaurant. The singer was the worst I've ever heard—completely off-key—despite my experience of attending performances since the late 60s. The combination of the loud atmosphere and the poor singing drove us to leave. I would love to return when there's no music playing.

An absolute pleasure dining at Edwins. Spectacular live music that makes the dining experience a truly memorable event. We bring our family here at least once a month. We order the big platter and it feeds our family of 6. The ox tail and pork belly are our favorites, but the salmon, prawns, lumpia and fettuccine are also amazing. Honestly, this is our favorite restaurant in Carmel. The layout is simple. The food is amazing, service is amazing. 10 out of 10

We were so excited to dine here because it's an Asian fusion of Filipino and Indonesian food. But was very disappointed! The serving was very very small for the price tag. The Kare Kare I believe was $45 and we only got 2 pieces of tiny oxtail and 3pieces of eggplant and no shrimp paste (bagoong). The chopsuey mixed vegetables was $23 very small plate, the Shanghai egg roll was $13 was 7 tiny pieces. The Lechon kawali was I think $38 and 4 tiny slices. The food was not even over the top it was so so. We don't mind paying for high price but with that kind of serving and price NO way we are going back! 2 star rating
