We are OVER THE MOON for this place. We will return frequently! Congratulations Jessie! You’ve hit a HOME RUN
Bread service was great with butter/honey. We ordered the charcuterie board which was a good size…3 meats and 1 cheese. I would have liked to see an additional cheese and they should have had honey on the board. The gem salad was excellent. We ordered the pork chop which was over cooked. We expressed our concerns to the waitress and her response was oh. The manager came to the table and then asked what she could do for us…remove from the check, dessert and drinks , gift card for a future visit, etc…. She said she would take care of it. In the end…they did nothing. Completely disappointing especially for a restaurant that just opened their doors. They had an opportunity to redeem themselves, and they fell short.
Most importantly, our waiter Sam was wonderful. He tried his best to make our experience nice. However, the food was very expensive and fell sadly short of our expectations. The Branzino fish was overcooked and too crispy and overly done with Chili oil (you had to drink water as the heat of the oil grew overpowering). The fish came with carrots and broccolini. The broccolini was so skinny and stringy and overcooked that it was inedible. The carrots were good and were the only thing we ate .... besides the bread. The beef tallow butter was a good touch to the bread. Lastly, the cocktails were very very weak and watery for the price.
The cost of the meal was too much given the quality of the food itself. You can eat for a similar or less amount at other restaurants in Louisville and get much higher quality food. If you are looking for a higher-end dinner try Fat Lamb, Repeal, Meesh Meesh, M Peppers, Paseo, North of Bourbon. Louisville has too many great options to waste your money here.
