My favorite over there is the braised beef Cannelloni. Unique dining experience in the Carmel by the sea. Great food and nice ambiance. Their service is great too. Love their decorations. They have really good wine selection. It is a quiet and romantic restaurant. It's a must in the Carmel by the sea. Don't forget to try their delicious desserts. View all feedback.
What J doesn't like about Casanova:
3 star. Food was not bad, but not great either. For $100 per person, I would expect more. Beef Tartare good. Lamb good, but plating... be more aesthetic please. Seafood Linguine mediocre and the flavor was a bit too sour. Desert was a disaster, the basque cheese cake was terrible you could get it from any grocery store.
Great food loved the little gem salad, the halibut and the cannelloni. All interesting and delicious. At these prices, they probably don't need to charge an extra five dollars for bread though...
Romantic Italian/French restaurant in Carmel. Cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is separated into several small rooms, as it was converted from an original residential house. All dishes were delicious and flavourful. Extensive wine list. Service was very friendly and fast.
Every time we’re in Carmel we’re chowing down on those Gnocchi.
We have been eating here for over 20 years. Our visits are less frequent now as we live over 200 mi from the restaurant. We have never been disappointed. Each dish is very carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The wine list is exhaustive. Service has always been top notch. The building is a bit rustic but everything else about this place is very Continental. This is an expensive place to eat but well worth it for a special occasion or just a very special meal. Reserve well in advance. I anticipate you would have a long wait without one.
Amazing food, and awesome wine list. Such a cosy place with wonderful staff.
