Patrons appreciate the friendly staff, expansive outdoor seating, and unique craft brews available, especially during events like Oktoberfest. While some noticed inconsistencies in service, most guests enjoyed the opportunity to sample various beers. The brewery's collaboration with local businesses enhances the experience, attracting visitors seeking a vibrant ambiance and delicious options. Overall, Milton's is a refreshing gem in a landscape of local bars, offering both great drinks and a sense of community for beer enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
The restaurant is located in a cool downtown area. They offer a selection of guest and house beers, totaling about 10 options. My fiancé tried the IPA, which had a mix of west coast and American flavors. I opted for a guest IPA from Santa Fe and enjoyed it. However, we weren't entirely impressed with the beer selection.
I stopped by for a midday beer at this restaurant. It was a quick visit, but the beer was good. I really enjoyed the board games they had available to play while I was there.
Rude women bartenders that talked **** about about us (two women) when we ordered a flight with an IPA. They were snarky about us not going to like it just because it was an IPA. They also talked down on us asking if we even knew what a brewed beer was. Not a vibe. Left as soon as we finished ALL our beers, even the damn IPA.
One easy metric for a place you haven't visited before is how many good breweries they have and what the vibes are there. Milton's is great downtown (sorta, by Carlsbad's standards), good beers (I had the Kolsch and the Red Ale, both excellent), friendlies behind the bar, lotsa nice people drinking, cool old space with the tin ceiling you expect. I'll be back!
Good place! Nice beer choices with Milton's brews as well as some guest taps. I guess they have a food truck occasionally but not the night we were there. Great spot if you're thirsty for a good, cold beer!
