Feedback
Firehouse Subs in Carlisle offers a welcoming and clean atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff who excel in customer service. The menu features flavorful, hearty sandwiches like the Smokehouse Beef and Italian sub, complemented by unique touches such as the Pickle Bucket and a variety of beverage options. Many patrons appreciate the cozy vibe and nods to first responders throughout the decor. However, some customers have experienced inconsistent order accuracy and slow service, especially during busy times, leading to frustration. While the food quality is generally good, occasional issues with meat portions and bread freshness have been noted. Overall, itβs a solid choice for sub lovers seeking a unique dining experience.
When I came in, I don't greet. I stood there for about 5 minutes and watched someone wipe something. After she looked at me for the third time, I wonder if someone is working the register. She said, Oh, I didn't know you were there. During my order I was interrupted to be asked if I wanted to throw something for the cheese (I always don't go cheese on my bottoms) and it threw me out. Let me finish my order, let alone my sentence before you challenge me to alternatives. I asked for an Italian, with extra onions and extra Italian dressing. Not only did the young man smile at me when he gave me my sandwich, he knows he put Mayo on the sandwich and almost no onions. Sounds small, I know. But I didn't have a firehouse in the year. I guess it'll take 5 years.??
This was not only the worst experience with a Firehouse Subs, but with any restaurant specializing in sub-sandwiches. It took two employees to work the register, and neither seemed to be in training, as they discussed what to do. Watching the sandwich manufacturers was more laughable as they spent more time staring at each other, the floor, or the ingredients for the sandwiches that they do not. Not only have I waited for fifty minutes for a simple hook and ladder, but I talked to other girls they waited for over an hour.
This restaurant is always a reliable choice, offering a welcoming atmosphere and an enjoyable experience. The food is consistently great, whether you choose to dine in or take out. Their commitment to supporting a good cause is commendable, and the meals are satisfying. All the subs are excellent, but don't miss out on the Firehouse Chiliβit's a standout dish in its own right. And for a bit of fun, be sure to get a Pickle Bucket. It's a quirky addition, and although it's a 5-gallon bucket, it's definitely a great choice! Overall, this place deserves a solid 5-star rating.
When I walked in, no greeting. I stood there for about 5 minutes, watching someone wipe down something. After she looked at me the 3rd time, I ask if anyone is working the register. She said, Oh, I didn 't know you were there. While placing my order, Iwas interrupted to be asked if I wanted to sub something for the cheese (I always go no-cheese on my subs) and it threw me off.Let me finish my order, let alone my sentence, before challenging me on alternatives. I asked for an Italian, with extra onionsand extra Italian dressing. Not only did the young man smile at me when he gave me my sandwich, he KNEW that he put mayo on thesandwich and almost no onions. Sounds petty, I know. But I haven 't had Firehouse in YEARS. I guess it 'll be another 5 years orso. ???????????
There are definitely some excellent sub options here. I tried the brisket and cheddar, but I think I should have chosen something else. The bread was a bit thick and didn't taste super fresh, but it still had a great flavor. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the staff were friendly and engaging. Overall, it far surpasses Subway and other sub specialty places.
