Tony Luke's Long Island - CARLE PLACE

The owners really need to take notice of this location, as it's quite disappointing. I'd much rather take a 90-minute drive to Philly and visit the original Tony Luke's than ever return to this one. The food was terrible and nowhere near the high standards I expect from a Tony Luke's cheesesteak or Italian pork. It's especially frustrating because I've visited the original location in Philly hundreds of times over the past ten years without any issues. I was excited to hear they opened a spot in New York, but that turned out to be a huge mistake. If I want a decent cheesesteak or Italian pork, I'll gladly make the trip to Philly.

I visited this restaurant twice, and both times my order was wrong. It wasn't just me—people who ordered before and after me also received incorrect orders. The register staff doesn’t seem to pay attention and just hands out whatever they think is the right order. Want a side dish? Good luck getting them to understand what you want. It's as if they could scream their order through the window and their masks, but it wouldn’t make a difference. The wait for the food feels endless, even when the place is nearly empty, and it seems like our orders have been completely forgotten. The food wasn’t bad, but I still give this place one star because I didn’t receive half of what I wanted.

To be honest, the food was just okay. I had the cheesesteak with sausage, fried onions, and American cheese. The meat wasn't particularly flavorful, although the cheese was nice, and I enjoyed the combination. I also ordered two servings of the loaded fries (one for each person) and I really wish we had just ordered one. The portion size was massive! That’s where the positives end, though. The fries were overly salty, and the bacon bits were very thin, hard, and crispy. I ended up adding the fries to my sandwich to create a more indulgent experience, and the extra saltiness actually helped a bit. Would I order from here again? Probably not. I was curious about their chicken cheesesteaks, but if I decide to try one, I think I’d go for Charley’s instead.

The Philly cheese steak with provolone was by far my favorite. fries with cheese wheat was also great. thanks to mohamed and the cook for excellent customer service and eating! big plus: halal

Ordered through delivery through the website. Never got the food. Got ripped off for like $45. Having trouble getting a refund from chownow.
